Victor J. Strecher, PhD, MPH, is a distinguished professor at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and the Founder & CEO of Kumanu, Inc., a cutting-edge wellbeing company. A pioneer in behavior change and digital health communication, Vic’s research has positively impacted millions. He established the UM Center for Health Communications Research in 1995, followed by HealthMedia, a digital health coaching platform that reached over 55 million people before its acquisition by Johnson & Johnson in 2010. Vic's innovative work has earned him numerous accolades, including two Smithsonian Awards and the National Business Coalition on Health’s Mercury Award. He was named Innovator of the Year at the University of Michigan in 2010 and served on the National Cancer Institute’s Scientific Advisory Board.
