Joan M. Troester, MBA, CEBS, SPHR, serves as the Senior Assistant VicePresident and Deputy CHRO at the University of Iowa, where she leadscomprehensive human resources services focused on employee well-being,talent management, and data analytics. Joni oversees teams responsible fortalent acquisition, compensation, health and welfare plans, and well-beingprograms, all aimed at enhancing the employee experience. With extensiveexperience in strategic planning and system-wide service delivery, she integratestotal rewards concepts to support the university's overarching people strategy.Joni is also a board member of the Health Enhancement Research Organization(HERO), promoting employer-based health initiatives. She holds a BS and MA inExercise Science, along with an MBA from the Tippie College of Business at theUniversity of Iowa and is certified as both a Senior Professional in HumanResources and a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist.
