Depression and pain are intricately linked. Depression increases the severity of pain, and musculoskeletal pain increases the risk for depression. When you are Salesforce, a cloud-based software company, you are challenged with not only creating a healthy workspace for 30,000 employees, but also engaging the most at-risk members before they turn to surgery and opiates. Learn how Salesforce used breakthrough technology to tackle mental health and musculoskeletal conditions at the same time. Offering a mobile-first at-home exercise therapy and behavioral coaching program, Salesforce created an engaging member experience while tackling two of their top cost drivers and reasons for absenteeism. Using employee communications optimized to nudge positive behaviors, in the first 5 hours, Salesforce met 100% target enrollment with 500 members with chronic back and knee pain. After 12 weeks, Salesforces cut their depression rate in half and avoided 2 in 3 surgeries.
